Note

Jumpers should be navy, with only small logos (smaller than a fist) allowed. Hooded jumpers, even if navy in colour, are unacceptable. If students wear a non-uniform jumper they will be asked to remove it and collect it from the relevant teacher at the end of the school day. The student will be offered a clean school jumper from the uniform pool for the day, if required. For each student’s safety, it is critical that we can immediately recognise students as belonging to our school. Non-uniform jumpers make this extremely difficult and we ask for your utmost cooperation in this matter.

Similarly, the correct shoes are vitally important. Strict OH&S requirements are in force in all schools and, if students do not wear shoes which comply with these regulations they will be unable to participate in practical lessons where there is a risk of injury.

At Tomaree HS these shoes should be black, with leather uppers, and which fully cover the foot. Ballet-type pumps and canvas shoes are not acceptable. A full explanation of acceptable shoes, including photos of shoes available at local retail outlets in 2008 was included in a previous Parent Newsletter and is attached on this page to view. Please don’t hesitate to contact the school if you would like a copy.
